A 2008 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Danville, Brett Zorich chose to pursue her collegiate running career at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Despite injuries and coaching changes during her first three years at UNLV, Brett had a stellar senior season in 2012 while training under Olympian Khadevis Robinson: runner up in the 400 at the Mountain West Conference Championships, and 4th at the NCAA Western Regional meet and 13th at the NCAA Championships in the 800. She holds personal bests of 2:04.54 in the 800m and 54.00 in the 400m. After graduating from UNLV in the spring of 2012, Brett has returned to the Bay Area to pursue her running goals. This 800 meter specialist joined the Bay Area Track Club in the summer of 2012 and is looking to compete among the professional ranks indoor and outdoor throughout the 2013 track campaign. When sheâÂÂs not training, Brett enjoys working at California Strength in Danville and coaching womenâÂÂs distance at her alma mater Monte Vista High.
