CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

The Sports Basement is a Bay Area community-focused retailer of outdoor sports and apparel with over two hundred employees in four locations: two in San Francisco, one in Sunnyvale, and one in Walnut Creek.  Integral to the success of this thriving Bay Area company is community involvement.  It supports twelve charitable organizations, including AIDS Ride, Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk, and the Larkin Street Youth Center.  The Sports Basement also helps put on eight events, such as the Alcatraz Invitational Swim, Bridge to Bridge Run, and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.  It also plays host to over thirty speaker series, including Yoga for Runners, Performance Through Nutrition, Backpacking 101, and Strength Training for Women.

Transports is the East Bay's premier running and swimming specialty store and has been serving the Bay Area's running and swimming community since 1982.  Voted “Best Running Gear in the Bay Area” by SF Gate in 2009, it has one store in Oakland and another in Berkeley. Transports has the largest selection of current-model running footwear in the Bay Area, as well as an extensive array of running apparel, socks, and accessories.  The staff consists of marathoners or competitive collegiate and post collegiate athletes; this allows the stores to support customers’ needs and the greater running community in a very unique way.

Dr. Jessica Greaux started
Press Play Analysis to give athletes the ability to bring their Sports Medicine team and their coaching team together to one place in order to collaborate and enhance the athlete's performance and eliminate the weak links that may lead to injury.  Press Play Analysis upload's the athlete's video with a biomechanical analysis to Press Play's website where the athlete can login with a password, download the video, rip it onto a CD or DVD, print key points, and share it with his/her chiropractor, physical therapist, medical provider, massage therapist, personal trainer, or coach.  The athlete's medical and coaching teams can then make comments and collaborate right on the website to enhance performance and rehabilitate injuries.  This is an ideal solution for a team like BATC to bring their coaches and medical providers together to communicate about the individual athlete.
